It is a monthly, quarterly or a Once-A-Year pest control service. On a monthly pest control, we do a basic baseboard spray, quarterly; we do a baseboard spray with granular insecticide around exterior and spray around doors and windows. Once-A-Year pest control service is a much more thorough service, as in dusting voids of walls, baiting areas of kitchen and bathrooms, treating areas of the attic, sweeping down all spider webs in garage and exterior eaves, baiting around home, spraying around doors and windows and the list goes on, and of course, any problem areas are given even more special attention… Well if you are on a 1-year contract, for any of the three indoor service categories listed, you would have a 1-year guarantee. No. However, of course, the Once-A-Year pest control service would be for a full year, quarterly; without a contract has a 90-day guarantee. This category will have a slightly higher price because of the infrequent and inconsistent treatments. Monthly, without a contract has a 30-day guarantee. However, without a contract there will be a start-up fee in comparison to having a contract without any start-up fees. Yes. Nevertheless, always make sure that if any liquid pesticides are sprayed in the home, that it is thoroughly dry before allowing children or pets on the floor area. Some of it does, some of it doesn’t, it is according to what target insect we are going for, but we also offer an odorless spray. If you would rather have the odorless spray, please let the office know when making your appointment. A pretreat or a soil pre-treatment is when we apply a termiticide to the soil before the concrete is poured. Click on our pre-treatment button to see a picture or a live video of a real pre-treatment in action. Yes. It is state law that if a pre-treat was done, the pest control company must issue a contract on the dwelling. Different types of contracts are issued due to type of coverage desired, or what county your home is built in, or requested by the builder. But, there is sure to be one that’s just right for you. Termites do more damage in Florida than all the fires, floods and hurricanes combined. Homeowners insurance doesn’t cover termite damage. The only way to have coverage and protection is through a reputable, established pest control company. Yes. All termite contracts have an annual renewal fee to continue coverage. The first annual renewal fee is due 1-year from the original date that the pre-treat was done. That is also when our liability begins, and that starts the clock on the first year. Yes, the month before your annual renewal is due; you will receive a letter by mail letting you know that you need to call the office to schedule your appointment. Eastern Subterranean Termites, which in Florida, if you have a termite infestation, that’s what it will more than likely be. Well, unfortunately your termite contract would be cancelled. Then your home could be subjected to hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, in termite damage without any coverage and no one to turn to for help. You may be looking at thousands of dollars in possible damage to your most expense investment, your home, and very possibly looking at thousands of dollars to treat your home. On the other hand, if you do have a termite contract, the only out of pocket expense would be a small annual renewal fee based on type of contract, and coverage you have. You can transfer your contract to another homeowner for a very small administration fee. Simple, call the office and setup an appointment for service or an estimate if you do not have a termite contract. Simple, click on Florida Critters on the left side of your screen, then click on ants in the large picture. Then do the same with termites, click on termites in the last large picture. These are the termite swarmers you would see if termites were swarming in your home. Swarming termites are actually termites that are mating. It is an evolutionary phenomenon of nature, which is very common in Florida. This has been happening for thousands of years. Termites mate in the air, that’s why they have to get out of the ground to fly in the air. They don’t even know there is a house above them when they come out. The termites that are swarming do not eat wood; all they do is fly in the air and mate, land on the ground {dirt} and deposit their eggs. When termites are swarming, there is absolutely nothing you or I can do. They are coming out of the ground no matter what. Even if I backed up a big chemical truck and sprayed the ground, it still would not stop them, they will just keep swarming, it’s nature way. It may be frightening to see hundreds of these insects in your home, but let me reassure you, your home will not fall down. They won’t bite and you don’t need to spray them with anything because they will die anyway because of the dry air in your home. They will not harm you, your pets or your children. After they swarm, which maybe a few minutes to a few hours, simply vacuum them up. There may be a few pinholes in the walls, this is normal, like I said before they don’t know they are in a house and the termites are simply trying to find a way to get in the air to mate. Once during normal business hours, call us to make an appointment for inspection and/or treatment. Sometimes treatment is not even necessary, but please be reassured that the problem will be taken care of. No problem, termites swarming is just nature. They are in the ground everywhere, and to see them swarm out of the ground around your home is perfectly normal. Remember, these are just termites swarming to mate; not eat wood. Yes. For several reasons, one, your termite contract states that if there are any additions or alterations done to the foundation of the home, we must treat it or it could void your warranty, and the treatment must be done by our company. We do not warranty any other company’s treatments. Considering the size of the additions, it’s usually a very small fee, and with just a few hours notice, we can be anywhere in town, to not hold up your construction schedule. For all other questions and answers, please feel free to call the office during normal business hours, Monday thru Friday from 8:00-5:00 or e-mail us at info-now@enviropestinc.com and we will do our best to answer any questions you have. Thank you and your family for the opportunity to allow us to serve your pest control needs and may God Bless………… |
